Direct ultraviolet radiation and high-temperature environments damage the molecular structure of the rubber inside the conveyor belt. Common aging phenomena include surface hardening, crack formation, edge peeling, and reduced flexibility. Aged conveyor belts are prone to tearing during heavy material transport, requiring frequent replacement and significantly increasing operating costs.
High temperatures cause rubber conveyor belts to expand thermally, altering their original tension balance.
